ERMEHGERD MERKERP

I am taking this class because as a theatre major I am required to take this class in order to graduate. I'm told that this is a very interesting and fun class so that also makes me interested in wanting to take this class. And besides my knowledge of basic corrective, I really don't know all that much about makeup so it'll be good to learn all about the other types of stage makeup.

I believe stage makeup is used to help make the actor look better. Even just by putting on base, eyeliner and lipstick, the actor's features look much better in the lights and not as ghostly. But I also believe that there is much more to this class than just studying basic corrective, so I'm hopeful that we will learn about clown makeup and other types of makeup that will be separate from basic corrective.

  1. This is a good entry. Is make up always used to make an actor look good? Isn't it sometimes used to make people look bad?

  2. Dear PJ,

I agree with your statement about clown makeup; it seems interesting and quite useful. I don't know much about theatre makeup myself, and I too am taking this to hopefully not seem like such an amateur.

That is all for now, have a nice day,

    April

  4. Peej, you aren't in class. Where are you. You're missing fun makeup stuff. Sue is teaching us things that you'll need to know, and plus I miss you rull bad.

    Love,

    Katiekins.
